Dear All,

The management of UR would like to alert and warn all the applicants that payments to UR are made to the UR bank accounts found in BK and I&M Banks only and not anywhere else. This caution has come to you after some applicants showed up complaining that they received a communication advising them to pay 5,000 Rwf to Tigo Cash line no: 0725987390 so that they can be helped in filling their applications for those who missed or did it half way due to one reason or another. In addition, whoever is trying to confuse the public will be apprehended once caught. You are all advised to take care.

Dear Colleagues,
The last Senate Meeting(6 May 2014)delegated approval of matters related to postgraduate registration, supervision and examination to the College Academic Councils. It means that decisions will be made by CACs and implemented. They will be referred to Senate for ratification.

The necessary notification letters to the candidates will be signed by the Principal as Chair of the CAC. For now, CACs should empower the Principals to approve PG matters on their behalf and have them ratified at the next CAC meeting. After the Academic Decision flow chart is approved, the College Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies can be delegated by the CAC to take make decisions on its behalf.

The only matter pertaining to postgraduate degrees, that CACs have to refer to Senate, with a recommendation, is the withdrawal of a degree.

Please let me know if further clarity is required

Kind regards
Prof. Nelson IJUMBA
